Meditation can lead you to success

Some people have several doubts about meditation. In Lifeline’s Mind Mastery Programme, training is given in two kinds of meditation. The first one is to be practiced immediately before sleeping and the other after waking up, when you are relaxed. Here are some tips on meditating effectively.

The first step is to sit with an erect back. The spine should be straight in order to correct the energy flow in our body.

In Lifeline’s meditation programmes, the hands have to held in the ‘mandala mudra’ (pose). This is a trigger method, also called ‘anchoring’ in NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) events.

When this sitting pose is learned thoroughly, meditation becomes easy. Moreover, it is not necessary to sit in ‘padmasana’ or similar yoga pose. You can sit on a chair, on the floor or even a cot to meditate.

Then close your eyes. In fact, about 85 per cent of the information we receive is through the eyes. This is blocked when the eyes are closed.

On the other hand, we get 11 per cent of the information input via ears. To prevent sound from distracting us, we should learn to avoid analyzing the information we receive through ears or use a headphone as in Lifeline’s programmes.

Also do not touch anywhere. Along with that, prevent impulses of taste or smell from influencing us.

All these lead us to an inner world. In fact, we withdraw from the outer world. It is a state called ‘mindfulness’ that we reach. We come to live in the present moment at this stage. During this time, we do not think of the past or the future. At this point, we can clearly feel our breath at the tip of our nose.

Then take five to six deep breaths so that slowly you come to your own rhythm. You feel as if a golden yellow light surrounds you and that it slowly dissolves into your body. You may get the impression that the light reaches the area of your body that suffers from some illness and heals the disease. Another thought also emerges. You visualize that all the negative energy in your mind gets shattered.

Our lives are linked to breathing and with these five to six deep breaths, we can connect with the subconscious mind. Then, in order to prevent the conscious mind from blocking the subconscious mind, keep the former engaged. Relaxing each part of the body is a good method that can be resorted to for the purpose. Relax your feet, followed by the other organs. Soon, the muscles, the head and the brain too relax. When this happens, the subconscious mind wakes up.

However, emotions may block our subconscious mind from becoming active. To check emotions, forgiveness meditation can be practiced. When we completely forgive others, we develop an attitude of gratitude. Several positive hormones are released when gratitude is felt.

In the next stage, we develop a divine feeling. An unconditional love is felt towards all creatures and life forms of the world.

We can then focus our thoughts on what we need most. It could be something related to our career, a new house or artistic achievements. We can dream of an award or a big business success.

All this activity takes place in our internal world and it is also termed ‘deepening.’ We then feel what we dream about.

The next phase is called visualization. We see a virtual movie in which minute details of our goal appear as if in a dream. Affirmation is the subsequent stage. Then we enter a ‘thoughtless’ phase. Devoid of any thought, this is the state of mind that sages achieve.

Subsequently, we come out of the meditation by some method like counting a few numbers, massaging the eye etc.

Suppose we meditate for one hundred days. Then certainly our actions, emotions and state of health become calm. Our life too becomes peaceful and success is achieved. This inspires us to continue along the same path. We then cannot deny ourselves the peace meditation provides.

In Lifeline’s Home Study package, guidelines regarding two kinds of meditation are given – one meant for healing and the other for wealth creation.

Meanwhile, in Mind Mastery Programme, around 14 types of meditation are taught.

Meditation is not a difficult task. However, it would be easier to perform when a learned person offers the right guidance.
